I started out as a young smart-ass, obnoxiously singing show-tunes in the streets of Niagara Falls, NY, dreaming of the day I'd could be obnoxious in the Big City. College was my ticket to NYC, so I hopped aboard, majored in acting, and focused my thesis on playwrighting. To pay for books, I'd sell my art online, and was lucky enough to make some decent sales that years later became the basis for my shop, An Optimistic Cynic.
Uptown Art is the proud collaboration of An Optimistic Cynic Productions (me), and Earth Shadow Films. I wrote and directed this film that contains such an overwhelming amount of talented artists, that thinking about it makes me want to cry with joy, but I have allergies, and it would get gross quick.
This is my 20 year anniversary of having made it to the Big City, and it's arguable whether of not I'm as obnoxious as I was as a teen, even if I don't sing out on the streets as much anymore. When I'm not crocheting, I'm writing. When I'm not writing, I'm on set, or preparing for one. When I'm not on set . . . um . . . tea? Tea is always a good idea.
